The carpet tacks in tackless strips are needle sharp and can easily cut you.
4 install tack into concrete.
That s a little easier but not much.
If you are nailing into concrete use concrete nails to secure the strips.
The strips should be installed 1 2 from the wall with the tacks facing the wall.
Apply a 1 4 inch wide line of construction adhesive to the bottom of the transition strip where it will rest on the concrete.
Step 3 press the transition firmly in place.
Shoot masonry screws into the strips every 6 8 on center to fasten them to the concrete.
Place tackless strips around the entire perimeter of the room.
That way the strip is as firm as it would be against an osb subfloor.
